I fell in love with the physical practice of yoga the very first class I took at a gym, I realized that this was a discipline that I could nurture for the rest of my life. Little did I know, there was so much more than just the physical side of yoga. It creeps up on you! So here I am, practicing a couple times a week and that turned into 4, then 5, then, well, every day! In 2010, I earned my 200-hour certification.
My teaching style is a mix of the spiritual and the physical aspects of yoga. I strive to give the practitioner a break from an often over stimulated world. Students can expect to be challenged physically and mentally. I tune into the energy in the room and offer options for students at all levels of their practice.
It is my hope that you go through class connected to your breath, whether that means laying in childs pose the entire class or attempting handstands. Once the breath ~ mind connection is accomplished, that is when the true magic of yoga appears.
I hope that you will sweat, laugh a little, let go of something and carry your practice with you, off your mats into your daily lives.
Practice and all is coming.
